Discover the place

For more than 110 years, L’Atelier Renault has embodied the spirit of the Renault carmaker by offering a place dedicated to innovation, technology and design. A true international showcase for the brand, this unique venue offers a preview of new products, unusual events and original experiences.

Renault, the emblematic French car manufacturer, aims to make innovation accessible to all. It is therefore only natural that L’Atelier Renault should be the place where French innovation resonates.

In normal times, L’Atelier Renault welcomes around 100,000 visitors per month. We hope that this rate of growth will soon resume.

a little history…

In 1910, Louis Renault personally acquired the premises on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées to use as an exhibition and commercial site. Renault was the first manufacturer to set up on the Champs-Élysées near the Grand Palais, which had been home to the Salon de l’Automobile since 1901.

In 1962, Renault had the premises completely rebuilt and installed the Pub Renault, which opened on the same day as the Salon de l’Automobile, now located at Porte de Versailles. It was an innovative concept, exhibiting cars in a convivial space with a restaurant and a bar where people could drink in alcoves that looked like the interiors of old cars. The place became an institution for both locals and tourists until 1999.

In September 2000, Renault gave a third life to the site and renamed it L’Atelier Renault in line with the brand’s signature, « Creator of automobiles ».

In 2010, L’Atelier Renault celebrates the centenary of the brand’s presence on the Champs-Élysées and is being renovated for the occasion. In this reorganised space, the ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions, events and a shop. The first floor is dedicated to restoration, a nod to its past.

Welcome to L’Atelier Renault!
