a little bit of history..
In 1910, Louis Renault buy these premises in person, on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, to make it an exhibition and commercial site. Renault is the first manufacturer to set up on the Champs-Elysées near the Grand Palais, home to the Paris Motor Show since 1901.
In 1962, Renault completely rebuilt the premises and installs the Pub Renault opening the same day that of the Motor Show’s opening now installed Porte de Versailles.
In September 2000, Renault gave a third life to the site and renamed L’Atelier Renault in line with the signature of the brand, “Creator of automobiles”.
In 2010, L’Atelier Renault celebrates the centenary of the brand’s presence on the Champs-Élysées and for the occasion benefits from a renovation. In this reorganized space, the ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions, events and a shop. The floor is dedicated to the restaurant, a nod to his past.
